Sorry to see one of our ilk experience this. But a good article detailing the importance of checking trim wheel movement prior to flight. (And certainly post-annual).
I will admit I am guilty of once or twice forgetting to verify free movement and position of the trim wheel prior to takeoff at the “Flight controls free and correct” line of the checklist. I will certainly make sure of it now having read this.
