Hey all,
Do any of you guys know much about how these pneumatic deice boot timers actually work? Are they electromechanical? Solid state? The boots in my 1977 Seneca II inflate fine, but the timer no longer shuts them off automatically. This summer, when I would test cycle them, they would usually go off within about 15-20 seconds (which is much longer than the book-stated 6 seconds). Now, when I cycle them, they do not cycle off at all till I pull the breaker and reset it. (I've waited about 30 seconds so far, but not longer.)
Anyone familiar with these timers? (And where to possibly get mine overhauled?) I'm considering having my shop pull the timer and see if it can be opened up/cleaned, and/or otherwise inspected/repaired.
Thanks,
Dan
